Overview
A stone’s throw from the unspoilt and picturesque coastline of South Devon, FSC Slapton Ley is located on the Start Bay coast and surrounded by Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve. The Ley is the largest natural freshwater lake in the South West and separated from the sea by Slapton Sands. The accommodation is in 4 blocks sleeping 75, 33, 17 and 17. Large groups can book by the block or take over the whole site. Otherwise there are single, twin and family rooms and small dormitories, mostly en suite. Outside there are beautiful landscaped grounds with seating areas, shelters and a wildlife area. All types of bookings are welcome including singles, couples, groups of adults, families and extended family groups. Due to Covid-19, rooms are currently offered on a B&B basis at very reasonable rates. The centre is situated next to a 210 hectare national nature reserve that includes the 4km long Slapton Sands beach. Slapton village with it’s community shop and 2 pubs are just a short walk away. For walkers and cyclists both the South West Coast Path and NCN 28 run close by. The centre has received the ‘Good to Go’ mark in recognition of following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.

Directions:
20 miles from the A38. As part of the FSC’s environmental commitment all visitors are encouraged to travel by coach or train In line with this the FSC has developed links with First Travel Solutions to help reduce the cost of transport to the Centre.

Public Transport :
The nearest train station is Totes (13 miles). On the South West Main Line it is less than 3 hours direct from Birmingham New Street and London Paddington. Pick ups can be arranged.
The no 3 Stagecoach bus from Plymouth or Dartmouth to Slapton stops outside the centre.
For the more energetic the centre is on the South West Coastal Path and NCN route 28.

FSC Slapton Ley in South Devon ANOB and close to Dartmoor National Park will be open from 21st May. Individuals, couples, households and groups (in line with the latest Government guidelines) are all welcome to this awesome centre. You can book room only, B&B, full or half board.
